Through the J. Speed Thomas Mental Health Assistance Center, our trained staff gives information, encouragement, and support to hundreds of clients each year, connecting them with treatment and services. Clients come from every walk of life: families grappling with a new diagnosis or a crisis, providers searching for support services for their patients, people in recovery who need a helping hand. All services are free, including in-depth clinical consultations, newsletters, and educational forums. Please call our office at 615-269-5355 to speak with our clinical staff.
Parker Thomas, a Nashville native and MHAMT volunteer, has created a presentation to help business people understand what depression is, who it can affect, what the symptoms are and how to find help. The presentation tells the story of Parker’s father, J. Speed Thomas, who struggled with depression for most of his life. Parker is available to speak to your group or company. He can be reached at forinfo@mhamt.org.
